Luckily, while the client for the full game looks like it will come in at around 100GB, the client for the demo is only a little over 20GB.

Once activated the pass is valid until March 15, 2015. This will let you walk around the Hangar Module and sit in an Anvil Hornet F7C trainer ship that you can then take into flight in Arena Commander, a multiplayer and wave-based, combat oriented mode.
#ELITE DANGEROUS VS STAR CITIZEN CODE#
If any cares to know my layout i'll post it, otherwise i'll just shut up and let the discussion continue. You'll have to create a free Star Citizen client on the game's website, then go to this page, and enter the code PAXEASTFREEFLY2K15. The furthest i have to stretch for anythign is R and F. My left hand sits at wasd, and all my ships nav and control is all mapped around that. It has the same concept, based on the original Elite and Wing Commander series, however Star Citizen also features planet side exploration, out of ship exploration and FPS combat. I have all my ship controls mapped out so i dont have to search the keyboard for anything while im flying. Star Citizen vs Elite: Dangerous opinions Most users think Star Citizen is a great alternative to Elite: Dangerous. Admittedly the joystick was super old, and flight assist off with a joystick was glorious, but my keyboard and mouse just feel, better. I would just like to say, i tried joystick, and went back to keyboard and mouse. Keyboard and mice seem to be under represented. Elite dangerous vs star citizen QUESTION I currently own elite dangerous, and like the game, but I have reached a point in it where I would need to grind religiously to get to the next stage, and have seen screenshots from Starr citizen, and wondering how it stacks up.

Ive spent about five hours flying around now and havent been able to complete a single mission. Gotta say, the game is immersive as hell, but damn the bugs make it hard to want to keep playing. Which is something Star Citizen can't do right now. Long time Elite player, and Chris Roberts fan (Still own WC on 5.25 somewhere), and decided to give Star Citizen another try thanks to videos like this. I have 3 friends who are buying Elite, so the 4 of us can explore the galaxy and hunt the Silver Comet. If i didn't own either of the games and only had money to buy one of them, it would be Elite Dangerous with no second though. IS Elite Dangerous a good game RIGHT NOW? Most definitely. WILL Star Citizen be a good game when it comes out? Probably, i really hope so My current beef with Star Citizen is that they have well over $65 million in pledged funds (not sure if ship purchases count into that), and currently all you can do is walk around and look at your ship, or play capture the flag/dogfight in a confined area. Where Elite sits right now, this very second, i can consider a full fledged playable game. Star Citizen has started development in 2011 and is still not released, even though it was initially scheduled for release in 2014 Sadly, Chris Roberts has earned a reputation for delaying the titles he worked on since 90’s, so this is not coming as a great surprise to many. Frontier put their time and money into a focused group of objectives to make a fully playable game and will be expanding on that game as time goes on. Elite Dangerous started with development in 2012 and has been released by the end of 2014. Like others have said, Elite is at a point where it can be considered a game. Difference Between Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen Space sim fanatics cannot help but purchase and play both Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen since both offer different space game experiences.
